If you have been following us for a while, you know I love customizing anything and everything, but fashion items have to be my favorite! Today we go on the adventure of customizing some of the already fabulous items found in the Zuru Mini Brands Fashion balls!

Our focus is primarily based on customizing them so that they look even more like the designer items they mimic. In this past week’s posts, we shared 3 guides that showed the designer inspiration (IMO) for each of these handbags. Be sure to check those out if you haven’t already!
I have included some links to items in my Amazon Storefront – I do earn small commissions, so be aware of that. I do love to share the items I use as I don’t think it should be a secret! I hope you will do some shopping!
Let’s get started!
Louis Vuitton Trunk Bag – Free Pattern

Here’s what you will need:

Click here to save and print the pattern template. Print on cardstock and trim. You will want to trace the pattern pieces onto the pattern. Dry fit and trim each piece until you are happy with the fit.

After cutting out the patterns, you will want to prep the original purse a little bit more, but this is optional! I used a gold chrome marker to accent the back hinges.

Next you can start gluing in the pattern pieces.

Time for the Mod Podge – I used the matte version, it still has a slight sheen, but it’s not as shiny as the glossy version.

Let dry and you are done!
Hermes Diamond Himalaya Kelly Bag

Here’s what you will need:
Gems are from Amazon, Locket earring is from Claire’s and the latch is also from Amazon which can be found here.

After 2 coats of the matte paint and once the satin paint has dried, it’s time to add the contrasting color. You will dab that on until you are happy…we had a pic of the Birkin version up while doing this. Go back in with the cream colored paint until you are happy with the outcome.

From night to day…haha. Next we will work on the tag. I used the existing ones from the LV tote bag since I had several extras.

Gucci Satchel

The directions for the Bee bow brooch are further down in this post.
Here’s what you will need:

Be sure to apply 2 coats of the matte paint, I consider this a base coat. Finish this first step with a Satin paint (these are the paints that Target sells).
Now we will start prepping the ribbon accents.

Let the FrayCheck and glue dry thoroughly.

Next we are working on the ribbon charm.

While this dries, let’s add the chain accent to the purse.

Adding the final touches! I used a piece of cardstock to create the ribbon tabs.

Gucci Web Bow Brooch
Added a Bee accent which can be found in my Amazon storefront. You can also use red nail polish if you don’t have other enamel paint.

You can also enhance the existing style with Chrome Pens and paint.

Other Super Easy Customs
Versace Medusa Bag - I found these lion earrings at Claire’s.

Lady Dior Bag – I added a designer nail charm that I purchased on AliExpress.

Chanel Flap Bags – Paint and a nail embellishment and you have a new look.

I hope you enjoyed these ideas! If you do any of these DIYs, please tag me on Instagram, I’d love to see your transformations! And now the big surprise!

Your Blog is wonderful inspiring! My favorite Bag Designer is Louis Vuitton.
I am from Germany, were do I get the embellishments for my own creations? I dont know where to search. Are they nail decalls?

Thank you so much! I originally found the nail embellishments on AliExpress, so if you dig deep into the site you might be able to find them. They took almost 3 months to get to me after I ordered them!

This is amazing! I love seeing how to customize and knowing it is possible. I’ve been dreading having multiples of the same bag from the capsules, but now I don’t feel that way.
I’m not a big fashionista, so I don’t know much about designer bags. I just like cute things that are affordable.
