Let’s see…where did we leave off? The main rooms are about done after lots of gluing molding together and painting! I still haven’t touched the attic or the garage and have plans to build a pergola on the upper left hand area. I also have plans for the outside, but that will be last! The main rooms are done, so read on to check it out.
Mini Rie has been working so hard!! All of this painting has been exhausting.
I’ve stained the flooring, painted the walls, and now I’m working on some added details to help with my design vision.
I added craft sticks with matching stain to the staircase for added realism and added a wall between the dining room and kitchen to create more separation.
My biggest challenge with this house has been that the bottom back wall is a bit warped since the house was second hand. I’ve done what I could to straighten it out, but I’ve still had to get a bit creative! I added some trim pieces to hopefully add structure and distract from the warped wall.
I also created a built in fireplace and bookshelf in the middle living room area to add coziness.
You can check out my reel on Instagram that shows the process of how I created this.
Here’s where we are now:
I’m focusing on the bones of the kitchen this week and hope to have an empty house tour next week! Many steps closer to decorating! Yay!
Keep an eye out for more updates and keep creating!

I love what you’ve done so far. The fireplace and shelves are a perfect addition.

So beautiful! I love the wall and addition to the stairs. I want to show my daughters and see if they will let me redo some of their dollhouse… I’m also glad I found you on Instagram! The fireplace is something I want to try making soon.

Thank you! That would be so fun if your daughter will let you do a little redo to their house!

please decorate the back of the dollhouse to look like a mansion. Maybe brick or white siding. I have a dollhouse like this and I what to decorate the back. But can’t figure out a realistic lightweight way to do it ❤️your work is amazing 🤩

I do have plans to do at least the bottom portion of the back to have a front door and it will have siding. Might be awhile before I get to it as I am so behind in the next few posts. I want to finish the sides with siding first and then will work on the back. I will likely get a large sheet of foam board and apply large craft sticks to it. I want to be able to prop up a front yard of sorts at some point too!
