Dollar Tree DIY Summer Doll Rooms

My newest series is a challenge to create a new room style made 100% out of Dollar Tree Items…the only exception is glue, paint, and the occasional cereal box. Each month I’ve selected a new room style/theme and then record a video tour showing the items I used to create the room. The videos can be seen on Instagram (links below). Doll Diorama: Palm Springs Summer Pool Party

This Summer my friend Lisa of @tinypalmsprings hosted a pool party each weekend! I knew I wanted to join in, but of course I wanted to go in big! I had seen an amazing pool scene on Pinterest that I have been saving for a few years. I finally created my version and I went all in! DIY: $10 Dollar Tree Doll Challenge

When our good dollfriend @thedauhlhouse threw out the idea of a Dollar Tree Design Challenge, I jumped at the chance. This is so up my alley or my jam or whatever cliche phrase I could think of. DIY: Flocking, it’s not just for hair!

I know it’s been awhile, but as the saying goes, better late than never! I can’t even tell you how much I enjoy sharing with all of you and wish I could do more! I have so many ideas!

We are approaching Spring and it should be all butterflies, baskets, and weddings…but while embarking on my latest obsession of re-rooting and flocking hair, it dawned on me that flocking could be used for some fashion accessories, namely shoes (to mimic suede or velvet)!
