My newest series is a challenge to create a new room style made 100% out of Dollar Tree Items…the only exception is glue, paint, and the occasional cereal box. Each month I’ve selected a new room style/theme and then record a video tour showing the items I used to create the room. The videos can be seen on Instagram (links below). Each quarter I will post these rooms in a recap here on a the blog. Check out the current rooms below and stay tuned for more each quarter!Continue reading “Dollar Tree DIY Summer Doll Rooms”

Welcome to part 2 of this DIY series. Today will will make some slightly larger items and accessories out of items that can be found around the house.
Grab your glue guns and raid your trash for some fun accessories! I wanted to come up with a few easy DIY projects that don’t require you to have stockpiles of craft supplies at home. I know not everyone has as much on hand as I do and we all need to keep our hands busy during this crazy time. I raided my junk drawer, recycling, and “pre” trash items to see what could be created out of basic household items. Continue reading “Trash to Treasure: Doll DIYs from around the House (Part 1)”

We all love a bargain, right? But we all want our diorama digs to be great quality too, right? I’m really trying to pair down, but let’s be honest, I’m totally addicted to shopping at the Dollar Tree and I love a good craft challenge. When I saw all of their signs, the ideas just started going off in my head. I wanted to make nice, wood furniture from DT items! Away I went!
Thank you so much for following along in our transformation journey with the Glitter Girls Sweet Shop (found here on Amazon). I am thrilled with where it ended up and I have had a lot of fun taking photos. This whole project evolved as it went along. I originally only intended to paint the blue trim portions of the exterior and then work with what they already created, but it certainly morphed into a total transformation.
