Trash to Treasure: Doll DIYs from around the House (Part 1)

IMG_1573

Grab your glue guns and raid your trash for some fun accessories! I wanted to come up with a few easy DIY projects that don’t require you to have stockpiles of craft supplies at home. I know not everyone has as much on hand as I do and we all need to keep our hands busy during this crazy time. I raided my junk drawer, recycling, and “pre” trash items to see what could be created out of basic household items.

You may have supplies that might make some of these crafts easier, but I wanted to make sure I only used items other than glue and paint that you might find around the house.

For all or most of these crafts, you will need:

  • Scissors
  • Utility Knife
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Craft Glue or E6000
  • Craft Paint

Disclaimer: These DIY’s may contain sharp objects/tools and hot glue. Please use adult supervision if under age.

Chap stick and toothpaste lids make great containers. Add a craft stick and toothpicks and you have a decorative and useful object.

  1. I love them! Making recycled doll things is my obsession. These are great little projects! Time to sort through my collection of recycled odds and ends.
