It’s spooky season, so it’s time to reshare one of my all time favorite DIYs!! Happy October!!
Ready for a glamtastically spooky party? We’ve created a gorgeous set of Gothic serving dishes for this All Hallows Eve!

I started off with some ideas in my head, so I a started gathering some items that I thought I might use…I may have added more items by the end of this and not even use some of the items I have pictured here. It’s all a creative journey! Many of the items are from Dollar Tree, but this craft is not limited to just items from that store. I just use so many of them because they have such good stuff!
For all of the featured projects, here’s what you will need in addition to the craft supplies:
- Turbo Tacky Glue
- E6000 Glue
- Glue gun (I used black glue sticks I found at Daiso)
- Utility knife
- Heavy duty scissors or tin snips
- Gold & Black spray paint
- Acrylic Paint color of your choice
- Black Nail Polish
- Nail file or sanding stick
I’ve done my best to separate each of the individual crafts, but this was one of those projects where I was literally working on each of the items all at once!
Cake Stands
Pedestal Cake Stand
Raised Cake Stand
Paint all of your wood pieces while you have the paint out.
Decorate with creepy crawly critters.
Embellish the raised cake stand with gold pony beads.
And jet black adhesive rhinestones!
Trays & Servers
Preparing the skeleton parts! By the end of this I’ve used a lot of body parts, so have fun spraying all of the bones if you’d like!
Putting the trays together…
Rectangular Tray
Oval Platter
Cruel-dite Platter
I sized the bones before painting them here.
Bowls
Punch Bowl
Footed Bowl (Literally ;-))
Accessories
Napkin Holder
Ladle
The finished Boo-fet set!
We’re serving bone salad, a delicious cruel-dite platter, sickly sushi, blood candy apples, ghost and bat chips, chocolate skulls & strawberries and frighteningly fuchsia punch!

This is so, so cool! The stuff seems elegant and…. in a weird way… real? Like, it reminds me of seeing the chandelier of bones at the Bone Ossuary in Kuatna Hora.
