IMG_9766

Glitter and Glam…need I say more? I’ve had this DIY in my mind for a really long time…I’ve even had all the supplies picked out and stashed in a project box! I’m so glad that I finally executed it because I am in love with all of these Jimmy Choo (and Badgley Mischka) inspired shoes! I hope you love them too!

Have you seen the new “fashions” or career costumes they are starting to carry at the Dollar Tree? We spotted them this past weekend and had to pick up a couple because as you can see, we had big plans for these!

DIY: Dollar Tree Wood Doll Furniture Creations!

IMG_7897

We all love a bargain, right? But we all want our diorama digs to be great quality too, right? I’m really trying to pair down, but let’s be honest, I’m totally addicted to shopping at the Dollar Tree and I love a good craft challenge. When I saw all of their signs, the ideas just started going off in my head. I wanted to make nice, wood furniture from DT items! Away I went!

DIY Sweet Shop Transformation

IMG_7377

Thank you so much for following along in our transformation journey with the Glitter Girls Sweet Shop (found here on Amazon). I am thrilled with where it ended up and I have had a lot of fun taking photos. This whole project evolved as it went along. I originally only intended to paint the blue trim portions of the exterior and then work with what they already created, but it certainly morphed into a total transformation.

DIY: Dollar Tree Design – Farmhouse

IMG_6447

I was so inspired by the last challenge that @thedauhlhouse hosted that I started thinking about doing several design vignettes for $10.00 (all from items purchased at the Dollar Tree). This is the second in the series with a Farmhouse Style. Check it out!

DIY: $10 Dollar Tree Doll Challenge

When our good dollfriend @thedauhlhouse threw out the idea of a Dollar Tree Design Challenge, I jumped at the chance. This is so up my alley or my jam or whatever cliche phrase I could think of. I gathered ALL of my Dollar Tree supplies and carefully sorted and brainstormed with the goods before picking the direction I wanted to go. I had a break through and decided to go all out…Bougee and Extra and I LOVE it! Hope you do too:

DIY: Flocking, it’s not just for hair!

I know it’s been awhile, but as the saying goes, better late than never! I can’t even tell you how much I enjoy sharing with all of you and wish I could do more! I have so many ideas!

We are approaching Spring and it should be all butterflies, baskets, and weddings…but while embarking on my latest obsession of re-rooting and flocking hair, it dawned on me that flocking could be used for some fashion accessories, namely shoes (to mimic suede or velvet)!

I know how much you all enjoyed my other custom shoe and accessory DIY’s in the past, so here’s my latest! Enjoy!

Summer Doll Holiday

IMG_1954As many of you know, it takes a lot of time and energy to keep cranking out DIY tutorials  and blog posts when you have a more than full-time job and responsibilities. As much as it makes me happy to craft and share, it is not where I need to be focused right now.  Bruni & I are going to take an unofficial break from regular postings and tutorials for some or all of the Summer. It’s a shame since the blog is really starting to take off, but we are all faced with tough decisions on a regular basis. Many are busy with kids during the Summer, so you may not have time to craft anyway, so it will be a good time for me to limit my posts and not commit every week to a new feature.
